This extra visual element is not only unnecessary but it has changed the message that they are trying to communicate. (Note: the place is called Butterfly, which I think is a much nicer kind of fly than the one they have ended up expressing.)

The world is messy. Physical, social, and cultural material and activity overlap and intermingle constantly. How do researchers untangle the many layers of evidence to discover the discrete activities? How do we avoid losing something in the untangling?

Service design is tricky due to it’s need to span multiple contexts and “touch points”. It means having to account for and incorporate the social, the cultural, and the esthetic. What kinds of issues arise when one of the touch points is biological or genetic?
