I walk past this this funeral home/chapel every morning and I always wonder if the clock was included in the sign as a public service or a symbolic gesture? Did they intend to make us contemplate our mortality? In what ways do the functions, features, and interactions we include in our designs communicate something far beyond “intended use”?
